In awe of story books

New Head Master Kidua and Manager Lambert
Leigh and I are blown away with the reactions we get to all the new story books in the library.  Leigh brought ~1,000 donated children's books from Indianapolis.

It's amazing to see the children's faces (and the adults' faces) when they open one of the story books.  The bright, vivid illustrations make quite an impression.  As incredible as it sounds, for some of them it's the first time they have ever seen a children's book.  Although the library isn't officially open yet, they love coming in and grabbing a book off the shelf while Leigh and the staff are busy organizing.  Of course, Leigh is more than happy to oblige.  Enthusiasm for the library is building and everyone is anticipating the grand opening now scheduled for January 18!

Stay tuned for an upcoming post that describes all the text books that were purchased....
